The second annual Anglesey Circuit Club meeting held on Sunday 4th December 2005. All sorts of weather here from some sunshine in the morning to driving rain in the afternoon. It made my first visit to the circuit interesting to say the least!

Britcar, Britsports, Production S1 and BARC SE series races from the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. The final race of the year. The shots are somewhat out of order due to one of my cameras deciding to start renumbering duing the event.

Brands Hatch Autumn Championships on Saturday 12th November. T-Cars, Formula Palmer Audi and Autumn Sports / Saloons.

It was very wet and pretty dark towards the end of the day, so if it looks it in the photographs... that's because it was! Excellent racing though.

The end of the classic racing season comes with the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) Finals at Silverstone. Run on the National circuit. Very poor light in the morning with mist. Things got MUCH better in the afternoon with some real golden autumn sunlight. Excellent racing as always from the HSCC.

The Formula Ford Carnival meeting from a wet and dark Castle Combe circuit Wiltshire.

The Sunday "Top Hat" meeting held at Mallory Park circuit. Series running were "Oldies but Goldies". "Cloth Cap", "Groovy Baby!", "Top Hat", "Best of British" and "Sebring Salute". An excellent day of classic racing.

A BARC (British Automobile Racing Club) meeting at Pembrey circuit, Wales. Classic FF1600, Classic FF2000, Classic Group 1 Touring Cars, Classic Thunder, Clubmans Cup, Post Historic Touring Cars and WRDA Sports Saloons featured.

HSCC run event featuring the FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix Championship (TGP), the Historic Grand Prix Car Association (HGPCA), Derek Bell Trophy Formula 5000, Formula 2 and Formula Atlantic cars, the BRDC 500, Grand Prix Masters, Group C and GTP races and saloon and sports car racing.

Historic Sports Car Club Superprix at Brands Hatch featuring the Orwell Supersports series of Can-Am and sports cars, a fantastic Group C sports car race and a vast field of bellowing Formula 5000s. Plus the odd support race. Torrential rain in the morning but it dried up nicely for the big races in the afternoon.

The Vintage Sports Car Club at the Shelsley Walsh speed hillclimb on Sunday 3rd July. The mighty Bentley Napier was the star of the show!

Some images from practice / qualifying for the British Formula 3 series plus support and the afternoon British GT championship race. Due to a bunch of "nimby" local residents who've bought houses close to a race track and then been surprised that it's occasionaly noisy (we call those kind of people "idiots") this could be the last time Castle Combe circuit hosts this event. I sincerely hope not!

British Racing and Sports Car Club meeting at Castle Combe circuit Wiltshire. Porsche 924 Championship, Castle Combe Special GT Championship, MG Midget Challenge, National Mobile Windscreens Saloon Car Championship, Melton Concrete Formula Ford Championship, TR Register and MG Metro Cup.

British Touring Car Championship round two from the Thruxton circuit in Hampshire. Formula Renault, Formula BMW, SEAT Cupra Challenge, Clios and Porsches in support.

Stock Hatches, Hot Hatches and others from the 750MC meet at Brands. My second outing with the Sigma 500mm prime.

The VSCC season opener at Silverstone. Lots of lovely old tin running round.

Raining, windy and cold. Enough said.

A beautiful sunny day at Gurston Down allowed the use of my favourite lens / camera combinations; the EOS 10D with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L and the EOS 1D Mark II with the incomparable Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX. Shooting fish in a barrel. The Canon EF 17-40L was used for some paddock shots on the 1D.

Gorgeous sunny weather at Snetterton for a good days racing with Porsches, VSRs, Super Silhouettes, T-Cars, Formula Ford 1600 and Global GT Lights. Oh, and the bacon rolls were fabulous. It doesn't get much better!

MG Car Club meeting over the Silverstone National circuit. An excellent day's racing. Cameras used were the Canon EOS 1D Mk II and EOS 10D. Lenses were the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX, the Canon 70-200mm f/4L and the Canon 24mm f/1.4L.

A damp, cold and misty Donington Park was not the best place to see what turned out to be the usual fantastic HSCC turnout.

A strange day at Silverstone. Practice was delayed by fog and you'll see some of the pictures are a little fogged too. The sun broke through mid afternoon and caused it's own problems due to the low angle (winter sun is can be annoying sometimes). A good days racing and an excellent start to the year at Silverstone.

Something of a departure from my normal haunt of circuit racing but good fun. Shots were taken using the EOS 1D Mark II and a 50mm f/1.4, 120-300mm f/2.8 Sigma and a Canon 70-200mm f/4.

An early outing to shake the cobwebs out of the cameras. 10D and 1D Mark II used along with the Sigma 120-300mm, the Canon 100-400L and the Canon 70-200mm f/4. A special guest appearance is also made by a mates Sigma 100-300 f/4 EX.

Vintage Sports Car Club at the historic Brooklands race track. Shots were taken with an EOS 10D or EOS 1D Mark II using a Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 and Canon EF 17-40 f/4L. All images have been reduced in size for web display.

Note that the camera was held level for all shots. Any tilt is due to the angle of the Brooklands banking.
